Cassandra Chessum Interior Design (CCID) designs private residences, holiday retreats and second homes, from listed period cottages to contemporary new builds. Some clients require a quick makeover, whilst others want a complete redesign. The scope can vary from a single room to every space in an entire home.

How we work
We always start at your home, because a house tells you things a brief cannot, such as where the light falls, the beauty of the local landscape and whether there are any existing features worth conserving. A grade II listed fisherman’s cottage in Appledore with estuary views asks for something different from a contemporary new build in London.
Once we have a detailed brief and have visited the property, we focus on the design process, delivering a range of interior design services and property styling solutions for your home. This will often include a combination of colour palettes and mood boards, sample and material boards, room plans and elevations, as well as a detailed breakdown of products and their associated costs.
We can take it through to completion, sourcing everything from fixtures and furniture to art and antiques, working alongside your architect and trades, as well as managing the build and installation. For listed properties and homes in conservation areas, we can liaise with planning and conservation officers, as well as providing expert consultancy on planning and listed building consent applications.
