Art Deco House

Transforming an unmodernised 1920s art deco property into a classic contemporary family home, designing all 18 rooms.

Cassandra Chessum Interior Design (CCID) recently completed a prestigious project for a client in Topsham, Devon. CCID worked closely with the client and other professionals, such as the architect, to transform an unmodernised 1920s art deco property into a classic contemporary family home.

This involved renovating the entire property and extending toward the back to create a large open plan family-friendly kitchen, dining area and chill out zone, as well as converting the loft to create further bedrooms and bathrooms.

CCID was involved from the very start. We worked closely with the architect on the extension and conversion, plus we led on all aspects of the interior design process, designing all 18 rooms.

Working with Cassie was so enjoyable. She was focused the whole time on making it right for us, investing a lot of time upfront to understand the colours and styles we like. She has brilliant ideas and so naturally just knows how to make the spaces look perfect. We are totally blown away with the beauty of our house, which is down to Cassie's incredible interior design. Two years on and we love it just as much.
