Belluno Restaurant

Designing the refresh and renovation for Belluno, an Italian restaurant in Devon, creating a warm and welcoming space with a contemporary design style and a rustic twist.

Cassandra Chessum Interior Design (CCID) designed the refresh and renovation for Belluno, an Italian restaurant in Bideford, Devon. The period property, which was previously a bank, has beautiful period features such as high ceilings and large windows. It was important that the design should make the most of them.

The brief was to design a warm and welcoming restaurant with a contemporary design style and a rustic twist. The space should reflect the ethos of the company. Belluno is a family run Italian restaurant specialising in home made Italian dishes.

The restaurant is named after the town of Belluno in northern Italy and the scheme takes its inspiration from there. We wanted to bring a piece of Italy to Devon. CCID was involved in every phase of the design process, from concept development and colour schemes to procurement and project management.

We used Cassie for 2 large commercial projects in Bideford, North Devon: Belluno Italian Restaurant and Amalfi Bar & Cafe. Both times, we were hugely impressed with her professionalism and creativity, as well as her work with other trades. We could not have finished either project without her help, especially as both projects had tight timescales. We would highly recommend her work.
