Thatched Cottage

Renovating an 18th century grade II listed thatched cottage by the coast in Appledore, painstakingly restored room by room.

Cassandra Chessum Interior Design (CCID) renovated and restored a beautiful 18th century grade II listed thatched cottage by the coast in Appledore, a quaint fishing village on the Devon coast. It was completely unmodernised and CCID painstakingly restored every inch of the cottage.

We designed and renovated all 10 rooms of the cottage in an elegant and classic contemporary style, carefully conserving the period features and making the most of the stunning sea views.

CCID is currently working on designing a two storey extension and a series of tiered roof terraces for the cottage, following a successful planning and listed building application. We are looking forward to the second phase of the project.

CCID completely renovated and restored a beautiful 18th century grade II listed thatched cottage, perfectly positioned in the village of Appledore on the stunning Devon coast. We carefully designed and renovated the cottage in a classic contemporary style, conserving the period features. We are so proud that this was CCID's first project. We loved it so much, we decided to move in.
